Marimekko is SO expensive but somehow when the prices are in Euros I don't notice as much hehehe... til I get the credit card bill that is!! but I rock the hell out of it for YEARS so I'd say the value is there!</description>

I see vintage and new Marimekko fabrics on eBay quite often... sadly I'm not crafty enough to do anything really cool with unfinished fabric beyond you know, square things--pillow case, tote bag, table cloth etc--maybe a simple skirt if I'm feeling really ambitious, and even that only if I had a sewing machine.</description>

		<description>Somewhere in my fabric collection, I still have about 2-3 yards of a marimekko print, probably bought as a gift from Mom, the first time she visited Helsinki. At that time, I was really into the Victorian look, so the bold, modern floral print just seemed garish. Now that I'm older and have broader tastes I like it a lot better.</description>
